Leisure Centre’s wake up call to workers

Christleton Sports Centre is opening its doors earlier to help fitness early birds.

Visitors will now be able to use the gym and pool from 7.15am, following requests from villagers who wanted to tone up before going to work.

Jon Kelly, Community Recreation Manager for the Chester and District Recreational Trust, the charitable company which runs the centre next to Christleton High School, said he’d been approached by members who wanted to use the facilities in the morning and still be at work on time.

“We’re very aware that people are changing their lifestyles and becoming more active at different times so we need to change our times to reflect their expectations," added Jon.
