Northgate Arena has a large double sized sports hall, two smaller halls, 3 squash courts and several smaller rooms that can accommodate table tennis.
The sports hall is divided into 2 and has 8 badminton courts, 2 five-a-side courts, 2 netball courts, 2 handball courts, 1 basketball and 1 volleyball court. On top of these recreational courts it also has a basketball show court used as the home venue for Chester Jets Basketball Club and the Wheelchair Jets. It also has a netball ‘match’ court used by Chester Ladies Netball Club for their National League games. The sports hall is also the home venue for Chester Ladies Netball League and The Pepsi Max Junior Handball League. The Northgate Arena has also hosted numerous Boxing and Kick Boxing matches, several of which have been televised on Satellite and Terrestrial TV. Depending on the event and the required floor layout the hall can accommodate up to 1,200 spectators.
Two smaller halls are available. The Dojo was specifically designed to accommodate several martial arts disciplines as well as gymnastics. It has a 144 sq m martial arts mat as well as a 19 x 12m hard area with a full-length wall mirror ideal for practising Katas. The hard area is ideal for martial arts as well as for other sports such as table tennis.
On the first floor another small room is available for private hire. Again this is suitable for some martial arts particularly younger players. The room is also ideal for social table tennis but it low ceiling prevents it from being used for more competitive matches.

The arena boast 3 squash courts refurbished December 07. With it sister site at Christleton, CADSART organises a cross centre squash league for players of all abilities. This fun league runs on a monthly basis as well as having an Annual award. If you are interested in joining the league please download the enquiry form and send to admin@cadsart.co.uk
