A state of the art multi purpose swimming pool has recently been constructed adjacent to the sports centre. It is a 5 lane, 25 metre pool specifically designed to meet the needs of both the High School and the local community. The pool is used during the day to teach many of Chester ’s primary school children how to swim and then be open to the wider community in the evening, weekends and school holidays. It will offer a varied programme including casual swimming, disabled groups, swimming lessons plus serious sports clubs such as triathlon and sub aqua. Prices are the same as at Christleton’s sister pool at the Northgate Arena.

Don’t be intimidated; if you are new to swimming or simply want to improve we will have something for you. The Aspire scheme offers lessons for every age and ability and is designed to promote individual progress and performance.
Aspire is a flexible programme for all ages and abilities that promotes individual progress and improved performance. ASPIRE’s aim is to produce swimmers with all-round ability and fitness to provide a lifetime of enjoyment.
Aspire lessons are imaginative and fun with emphasis on learning through discovery.
Aspire is divided into four groups. Following the amateur Swimming Association National Plan for swimming each group has a series of achievement awards to advance through. At Christleton Sports Centre the first two sections are taught, whilst all four are covered at the Northgate Arena.

For the under 4’s.
Develops confidence in water, independent mobility & basic survival techniques.

|
Ages 4 and up.
For non swimmers gaining water confidence, improves developing stroke technique and advanced swimmers consolidating water competence and aquatic skills.
